After graduating from a vocational school, he honed his skills for many years at various Japanese restaurants before opening his own restaurant, "Shunsai Oguraya," in Ikejiri-Ohashi, Tokyo, in March 2011. It has been listed in the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand section for nine consecutive years and continues to be loved by a wide range of customers. Since opening his own restaurant in this area, he has remained here, honing his skills every day. The courses, priced at 5,500 yen, 7,700 yen, and 11,000 yen, are all reasonably priced, yet they offer satisfaction that exceeds the price, thanks to the generous use of seasonal ingredients sourced with uncompromising care and the meticulous preparation. The restaurant is bustling with customers every day.

"I want people to be able to enjoy it casually and frequently," says Horiuchi without hesitation, stating that he has no intention of raising prices. His unwavering commitment to ingredients and customers is what has built trust, fostered connections, and ensured the restaurant's long-lasting popularity.
