AAJ(The Association for the Advancement of the Japanese Culinary Art)(hereinafter referred to as "our association"), has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this policy") regarding the handling of member information, including personal information, in the internet service "Japanese Culinary Institute Recipe!" (hereinafter referred to as "this service") managed, operated and provided by our association.
1. Member information to be collected and collection method
In this policy, "member information" refers to information relating to the identification of a member, behavioral history on communication services, and other information generated or stored on a member's smartphone, PC or other device in relation to the member or the member's device, which is collected by the Association in accordance with this policy.
The member information collected by the Association through this service will be as follows, depending on the method of collection:

- Any other information that the Member has permitted to be disclosed to the partner through the privacy settings of the relevant external service
2. Purpose of Use
- Member information will be used for the provision of the Service as set forth in 2-2, and may also be used for other purposes as set forth in 2-3.
- The specific purposes for which member information will be used in providing this service are as follows:
- To accept registrations for this service, verify identity, and provide, maintain, protect, and improve this service
- To create statistical data regarding the use of this service, and to survey, compile, and analyze marketing data
- To conduct and analyze surveys for planning and considering this service and for improving the service
- To verify the identity of members when making inquiries or providing information about the Service
- To advertise or promote the products of our Association and third parties (including sending direct mail, sending e-mails, remarketing, and retargeting advertising) and to confirm the results of such advertising and promotion
- For drawing lots and sending prizes for campaigns, etc.
- To contact you as necessary, such as to provide important notices regarding the Service
- To prevent and respond to acts that violate the Association's terms and conditions regarding this service, this policy, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms and Conditions"), or acts that are fraudulent or illegal

5. Provision and sharing with third parties
The Association may provide or share member information with third parties in the following cases:
- When the member's consent is obtained When the member's consent is obtained, the Association may provide member information, including personal information, to a third party.
- Sharing with third-party service providers Members' information will be shared with third parties who provide services on behalf of the Association, such as payment processing, data analysis, email transmission, and hosting services, or who support the Association's marketing. The Association will require all third-party service providers to maintain the confidentiality of the disclosed information and not use the members' information for any purpose other than providing services on behalf of the Association.
- Sharing with third-party advertisers The Association may share with third-party advertisers ① specific technical information (IP addresses, etc.), ② non-personally identifiable statistical information, and ③ non-personally identifiable information regarding the use of services. Members agree that such information may be used by the Association or third-party advertisers for member trend analysis, web analysis, and behavioral targeting advertising.

The Association may disclose information about its members if it determines that such disclosure is necessary or appropriate for the purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other public interest.
The Association may disclose information about members when it reasonably determines that disclosure is necessary to enforce the Association's terms of use, operate the Association and this service, or protect its members. - In the event of a sale, merger, or other reorganization, merger, or transfer, the Association may transfer all or part of the personal information it has acquired to the relevant party.

6. Disclosure of Personal Information
When a member requests disclosure of personal information pursuant to the Personal Information Protection Act, the Association will disclose the information to the member without delay after verifying that the request is from the member himself/herself (if the personal information in question does not exist, the Association will notify the member to that effect).
However, this does not apply if the Association is not obligated to disclose information under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations. Please note that a fee (1,000 yen per case) will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
7. Correction of personal information and suspension of use, etc.
- If the Association is requested by a member to correct the contents of personal information pursuant to the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act because the information is not true, or if the Association is requested to suspend use of the information pursuant to the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act because the information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use previously announced or because the information was collected by false or other illegal means, the Association will conduct the necessary investigation without delay after confirming that the request is from the member himself/herself, and based on the results, correct the contents of the personal information or suspend use and notify the member to that effect. However, if it is decided not to correct or suspend use based on reasonable grounds, the Association will notify the member to that effect.
- If a member requests the deletion of his/her personal information, and if the Association determines it is necessary to comply with the request, it will delete the personal information after verifying that the request came from the member himself/herself, and notify the member of this fact.
- If the Association is not obligated to correct, etc. or suspend use, etc. under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, the provisions of the preceding two paragraphs shall not apply.

9. Procedure for changing the privacy policy
The Association shall appropriately review the operational status regarding the handling of member information, strive for continuous improvement, and may change this policy as necessary. In the event of any changes, the Association shall notify members by posting an announcement on the Service or by a method that the Association deems appropriate. However, in the event of any changes that require the consent of members under law, the Association shall obtain the consent of members by a method specified by the Association.
